Hundred Heroes ProgrammeThe Hundred Heroes Programme has been established to provide funding for the following areas:
Miners have been central to the historical development of many aspects of Australian society, culture and economy. Scholarly research enables the richness of that contribution to be recounted, recognised, and celebrated; an endeavour that is consistent with the Australian Prospectors and Miners Hall of Fame's commitment to supporting and facilitating community understanding about mining in Australia. Guided by a Trust of eminent persons with expertise in mining and research about mining, the "Hundred Heroes" is a key part of that project. Their fellowship enables the Trust to choose and support an outstanding applicant to undertake tertiary studies in the areas of Australian mining history, education or technology. This prestigious fellowship, tenable in Australia or overseas, is unique in offering substantial support for scholarly study of mining in the humanities or social sciences. The fellowship is offered annually with an amount of $10,000 to support a student/researcher of the humanities or social sciences who is beginning or already engaged in the study of Australian mining. The Fellowship is administered through the Australian Prospectors and Miners Hall of Fame. By supporting this innovative and inspiring undertaking, donors significantly assist the Australian Prospectors and Miners Hall of Fame in attaining its goal. They assist the Mining Hall of Fame in becoming a premier institution for the education of Australians about the past, present and future of prospectors, miners and mining in Australia. We invite you to become one of the special one hundred people who will become the "Heroes of the Hall of Fame". For a fully tax-deductible gift of $10,000 our supporters receive-:
